CareYaya is a mission-driven social enterprise led by a small team of five and supported by dozens of interns and volunteers nationwide. We’re changing elder care by connecting families with compassionate, motivated college students from top universities. This provides affordable care for thousands of families, introduces tens of thousands of energetic individuals into the care workforce, and impacts millions by investing in the healthcare professionals of tomorrow.

CareYaya was born when we navigated the care system for our own loved ones and realized just how broken it is.

Giant corporate chains have monopolized the industry, charging families outrageous rates while exploiting care workers with low wages and minimal training.
Profits are prioritized over people and margins over mission, leaving millions of caregivers feeling stressed and guilty while struggling to afford the care their loved ones deserve.
The fundamental human act of caring has been commodified and stripped of its dignity.
At the same time, 10,000 new seniors turn 65 every day in America
Care costs are skyrocketing, Medicare funding is dwindling, and the caregiver shortage is at a breaking point.
A wave of care needs is coming, and our broken system will not be able to handle it.

Rather than accepting the status quo, we assembled a small team to create a better way powered by technology—one that makes quality care more accessible and affordable while investing in the next generation of caregivers.
CareYaya flips the traditional model on its head. We bypass profit-hungry chains to connect families directly with passionate healthcare students at top universities nearby. No middlemen, just affordable care powered by tech and delivered with heart.

yaya: /ˈyäˌyä/ noun
1. Caregiver (Swahili, Thai)

Honors the wisdom our elders can impart on students, creating family-like bonds and relationships of mutual care and learning.
